Biosphere reserve
Welcome to Menorca, the most easterly and northerly of the Balearic Islands. With a surface of 72 km2 and one length of 53 km, this beautiful island of the Mediterranean guard has in its interior a rich ecological and cultural patrimony that in 1993 was internationally recognized by UNESCO when granting to him the distinction of Biosphere Reserve.
The visitor can find a place in exceptional condition, based in the wealth of its natural, cultural and historical heritage. Its territory conserves in a very small space a great diversity of landscapes and natural atmospheres, a flora and fauna that count on an important number of endemic species, as well as an impressive archaeological and ethnological patrimony.
Menorca will not fail to surprise those who seek more than just sun and sand for their holiday.
